A color scheme. Detailed information on color combinations with examples Classic color combination

The influence of flowers on humans is a scientifically proven fact. In order to live comfortably, you need to choose the right combination of colors in the interior. It is not so easy. There are special rules that must be followed in order for the colors to be compatible. There are also ready-made tables that make the whole process easier.

Principles and types of formation of combined colors

There are a huge number of shades of colors in nature. But, as you probably noticed, not all of them look equally good next to each other. Some seemingly unexpected combinations are simply mesmerizing, while others make you want to look away. This is because when choosing flowers for the interior, flower bed, bouquet, clothing, you must be guided by certain rules and principles.

The palette of combined colors can range from two to seven colors and shades

To make them easier to remember, special tools were created - a color wheel and tables of combined colors. Basically, the main tool is a circle, and tables are the finished result of a selection based on it. If you want to learn the basics of color combining, use a wheel. Otherwise, select an option from the tables.

Color wheel and rules for its use

The color wheel consists of three levels. It contains the primary colors - red, blue, yellow. They are called primary. Their pairwise combination gives three additional (secondary) colors - purple, orange, green. The third level contains tertiary colors - this is the result of a combination of secondary and primary. Based on these colors, a combination of colors in the interior (and not only) is selected.

Color compatibility circle - for selecting basic colors for the interior

As you can see, black, gray and white are not represented in the circle. They do not exist in nature in their pure form; when decorating the interior, they can be used as basic (white and gray) or additional.

Number of colors

Before explaining the rules for using the color wheel, you need to understand the number of colors for their harmonious combination. In general, you can use two, three or four compatible shades. You can also add universal colors to them - white, gray, black. This is exactly what decorators and artists do.

There are many colors, but in one interior they look harmonious. This is because they were chosen correctly - they are combined with each other

But for the interior, two shades are too monotonous and boring. Much more interesting are rooms decorated with a combination of three, four or more colors. However, it is wrong to use colors in equal proportions. One or two of them are chosen as the main ones, there are “many” of them. These colors are used to paint walls and floors; they are present in furniture upholstery and textiles. One or two more are used as additional ones. There are not many of them, but they are noticeable. The rest - no matter how many there are - serve to add variety and emphasis. They are present in small quantities - these are decorative items, pillows, etc. If you take a closer look at the interiors that you like, you will most likely find this pattern of color distribution.

Combination of colors in the interior based on the color wheel

Using a color wheel, you can use it to choose colors to match. They do this according to certain rules. There are several principles for forming combinations:

Using these principles alone, several dozen combinations can be formed. But there are also extremely distant pairs and four colors that can be combined. This also adds to the number of options.

But that's not all. Each of the colors in the circle varies in saturation - from lighter in the middle to darker on the outside. That is, in the selected sector you can select several shades by tone. This combination of colors in the interior is called monochrome. They are also used in design.

Within one color, you can take several shades, add touches of neutral colors - and you have a monochrome interior ready

It's sometimes interesting to play with color. And so as not to be too boring, you can use “universal” ones as accents - black, white, gray or red - to taste, depending on the desired mood and purpose of the room.

Tables of color combinations in the interior

It may be interesting to choose the combination of colors in the interior yourself, but due to ignorance you can make mistakes. For simplicity, tables have been created that simplify the creation of the interior. Especially if you know how to use them.

Table of color combinations in the interior - several options

In color tables, the combination of colors in the interior is given in five to six shades. They must be used keeping in mind the rule. The first shade is the main color, the second and third are additional, the rest are accent colors. This is how you distribute the colors.

In such tables, look in the first position for the shade that you want to make dominant. If you try, you can find three or more options. After all, there are tables that are compiled according to contrast, complementary, etc. principles. So there are many options. For example, in the above piece of tables (in fact, there are a lot of such sheets), there are two combinations for bright blue: 127 and 135. There will be even more of them on other sheets. From the options found, choose the combination of colors in the interior that appeals to you most.

There are tables that have a different appearance: their dominant shade is located perpendicular to the additional and accent ones. The rules for using tables of matching colors do not change. Only the main color is highlighted, making it a little easier to navigate.

Photo examples of interiors indicating the color combination used

The fact that colors affect mood and well-being has been talked about for a long time. There is even such a direction of alternative medicine as color therapy, where various types of disorders are treated by being in an interior with a predominance of a certain shade. So the “mood” of each color is worth keeping in mind when choosing a palette.

Red: matching colors

Red color is very active and aggressive. It is usually present in interiors as accents - to break the monotony of design in white, gray or beige tones. In this case, it is almost irreplaceable - it brings the picture to life very well. You can see for yourself - below are several photos. Red in the interior of a living room can only be done in this way, otherwise the occupants’ anxiety increases, and health problems may even begin.

The main color in this interior is milky white, the additional one is brown and beige, the accents are green and red. Approximately the same range, but for a living room in a different style - here instead of green there are black details, which gives more “coldness” to the atmosphere

A place where red can be the dominant color is the kitchen. Here you need high activity and this color will give you vigor. And, at the same time, it will also increase your appetite.

If you need a similar effect, please choose a combination of red as the main one. As an additional option, it comes with gray, shades of white, beige, and there may be black details. You can still find a little green - in the form of plants or a few details. Other colors are rarely woven in, otherwise the result is too colorful even for the kitchen.

Combination with gray

Gray is a dim, so-called base color that can be combined with any others. For living room interiors, this is one of the best options. There are several ways to create the right combination of colors in an interior with a predominant gray. They take two or three shades from the gray range, add one or two shades of another color and the result is a very harmonious design.

In the photo above, the bedroom interior is formed according to this principle. Light gray in them is the main one, two more saturated shades are additional. Blue (complimentary shades) are used as accents in one case, and pastel pinks in the other.

By the way, brown ones also look good with gray, and if you add raspberry, yellow, orange - warm shades - as an accent - you get a very cozy and “warm” interior that is suitable for a bedroom, a girl’s room, and can also be applied to the design of a kitchen.

Gray also looks very good in the kitchen. It is suitable for creating interiors in loft, hi-tech, and modern styles. In this room, everything can be even simpler: to three or four shades of gray, add one bright one - yellow, red, orange, blue, green. In one of the bright and warm shades. It turns out to be a very unusual and not at all dull combination.

Crimson and yellow as accents create the mood

In general, gray interiors - with any accents - turn out to be somewhat cold. This is not bad for the kitchen, especially if it faces south. Such combinations are also good in the corridor/hallway. In those interiors where there are at least two warm shades with gray, and the interior turns out warmer, it is quite suitable for bedrooms and living rooms.

Beige and colors combined with it

Beige in the interior is an even more universal color. Like everyone else, it has warm and cold shades, but in any case it creates an atmosphere of comfort and reliability. You can create a monochrome interior based on beige colors. This option is for lovers of discreet interiors. This combination of colors in the interior is typical of the classics.

Beige color scheme with additional brown - comfort and tranquility

If you need solidity, add brown; for greater lightness, any color spots are suitable - as is the case with gray. Add cold shades of color spots to cold shades of beige, and warm shades to warm shades.

For accents, add one or two bright or pastel splashes of color, depending on the effect you want to create.

Beige can be chosen as the main one. The walls and floors are then painted in lighter shades. Furniture is chosen darker, but also beige or brown. Add a few accents of bright colors. That's all, the harmonious interior is ready.

Choose colors for furniture

Often, when choosing colors for the interior, they are tied to existing furniture. For such cases, there is also a table of compatible shades. It’s not difficult to work with it: in the right column you choose the color of the furniture, in the middle column friendly colors are written, in the far left are those that are incompatible.

But you shouldn't use every possible color. In addition to the color of the furniture, there may be three to five more colors. At the same time, the basic ones - white, gray, black - also count. So don't overdo it.

How to combine colors in the interior correctly?

Walls are the background that sets the atmosphere of the house, so choosing a color is a responsible matter. Repainting/re-gluing is a rather labor-intensive and not very pleasant process. Therefore, many fears and doubts are born. What if the interior is too dark/cold/bright/sterile? As a result, most people choose the “safest” and most proven option. Most often it is “beige” (What? A warm color that goes with everything). How to stop being afraid of color and how to create a beautiful interior in your favorite colors? What are the rules for color combinations? Let's figure it out. Colorism will help us.

A little theory

The color wheel model, developed by the Swiss artist Johannes Itten, will be an excellent cheat sheet in choosing a harmonious color scheme. Itten's circle consists of 12 parts. This is a table of three primary colors (,), three additional (composite) colors, which are formed by mixing primary (,), and six tertiary colors, formed by combining primary with additional ones. All colors can be divided into cold and warm. Neutral colors (white, ivory, brown,) appear in a separate category. They go well with both other colors from the circle and with each other. Use them as a backdrop for other colors (for example, you can make the walls in neutral shades, but introduce color into the interior with furniture, textiles or bright posters) or add accessories in neutral tones to “dilute” the main color a little.

How it works?

Everything is very simple. There are only six canonical schemes (selections) of color combinations in the interior. Let's look at them with examples.

1. Analog triad

This is the simplest and “safest” option. Take 3 consecutive colors from the palette. Use shades of these colors in your interior design and you are guaranteed a calm, beautiful interior.

2. Complementary combination

Colors located at diametrically opposite ends of the circle are called complementary. One of the colors will be the main one; a contrasting color can be used to highlight interior details. If you are afraid that it will be too bright, dilute the room with neutral colors to a level that is comfortable for you personally.

3. Contrasting triad

This is similar to a complementary combination, only two adjacent sectors are added to one of the colors. Decorate your apartment in these colors, and leave the contrasting one for small interesting details. Or, on the contrary, make one color the main one, and use the other two, closer ones, for accents.

4. Classic triad

This is a more complex option. A combination of three colors equidistant on a circle. Here, one color is usually taken as the basis. The other two are used for emphasis. If you are afraid that it will come out too colorful, dilute it with neutral colors “to taste.”

5. Rectangular/square pattern

Use two pairs of contrasting colors. It is important not to overdo it, otherwise the interior may turn out to be colorful. It would be more correct to choose one main color and three additional ones.
The square scheme is a variation of the rectangular one, but the colors used in it are located in a circle at an equal distance from each other.
This scheme is not suitable for everyone. Interiors with a lot of colors turn out to be bright and interesting, but over time they become tiring. This approach is a good way to design oriental interiors or interiors in style boho.

Could it be simpler?

Can. If combinations from a circle are still scary, the simplest and safest option is to choose one color and combine it with neutral companions. It will turn out simple, stylish, minimalistic and modern.

Dark-light

We finally decided on the colors. But how to choose the right tone? Dark? Light? And how to combine them? Shade compatibility depends on the task.
You can, for example, take selected colors in very light tones. The interior will be light and delicate. This is an excellent solution for children's design.
Or you can use the most saturated colors. This will make the room bright, atmospheric, inspiring and energizing, so this option is not very suitable for the bedroom. There it is better to use calmer tones.
Or you can take one or several soft shades and one rich one. The colors “work” together, complementing and highlighting each other. Against the background of delicate pastel tones, the bright color will sound completely new. Try it!

Color combination in the kitchen

It is best to choose warm colors for the kitchen. For example, orange, yellow and red - they improve mood and improve appetite. They can be used as an accent on one of the walls, an apron, and also on appliances, furniture and accessories. Neutral white, beige, gray and black are good companions for such bright, cheerful shades.

If the kitchen windows face south, it is better to avoid too warm colors, as they increase the feeling of heat and stuffiness. Pay attention to the equally winning combination of brown and green. It creates a cozy atmosphere and makes us a little closer to nature.

Color combination in the bedroom

The color scheme of the bedroom should help you relax and fall asleep after a hard day. Pastel colors contribute best to this. Pay attention to colors such as milk, gray, sand, chocolate, gold, delicate lilac, blue, pink, etc., which can be harmoniously combined with each other.

Color combination in the bathroom

The bathroom is where we start and end our day. It is important to find a balance here and choose a color scheme that will invigorate and delight you in the morning, and relax and soothe in the evening. The most popular solutions: white with blue or blue, white with beige and gray, white with chocolate. But it is better to avoid green - in the bathroom it will be associated with mold and dampness.

As a rule, the footage of a bathroom is not large, so it is worth abandoning the abundance of too dark or bright colors, which visually reduce the space. Instead, there are light and muted shades with a couple of catchy accents.

There are millions of successful combinations for a cozy and beautiful home. Bright, juicy, tender, airy, inspiring, bewitching. Do not be afraid! Experiment! Even if suddenly the chosen color on the walls does not turn out to be ideal, this can be corrected. Choose accessories in a matching color or “dilute” with large accents in neutral tones. Use the tips in this article and surround yourself with your favorite color. This is better than “beige”, right?

From childhood, we learn the rules of color combinations, like “black goes with everything,” or “pink and green are terrible” (Chekhov explained this, although judging by fashion shows, this combination will be at the peak of relevance this spring). Since these things are learned at an unconscious age, then, when we are already at a conscious age, we don’t think about why green and pink are bad, and whether black really goes with everything, but we actively use the learned combinations and avoid colors that we know nothing about. And even if we buy such a thing, then it gathers dust in the closet.
Two years ago, in some strange impulse, I bought emerald green jeans; I really didn’t know what to pair them with besides black and white. Now for these jeans I have 1) a beautiful burgundy sweater, a gray cardigan + a white shirt, 3) a lilac T-shirt with a print, 4) red boots, however, by the time I found all this, the jeans were already worn out))). If, when I bought jeans, I had a book on color combinations (I bought one at a printing exhibition where I went with my husband), then I would have added my jeans to my wardrobe much earlier. But in general, to begin with, you can do without a book, since the rules for combining colors are well understood using the example of the color wheel, which is available on the Internet.
I will also add that these rules always apply, like the law of universal gravitation. This means that if some colors are combined in nature or in a painting by a great artist, then they will be combined in clothing and in the interior. Another thing is that at different times different types of combinations become relevant: for example, a couple of years ago it was very fashionable to combine shades of the same color, but since last year the trends of contrasting combinations have come to the fore (red with green, orange with blue, etc. .).
The basic rules for working with the color wheel are quite sensibly described in
marriba at Learning to choose colors - part 1. I quote:

Today I will tell you how to work with color correctly. I use this with my Waldorf dolls. Even if your activity is not related to working with color, you can successfully use this information to select a wardrobe :)

(Please copy without changing the text and with a link to my blog.)

I promise not to go deep into the jungle of color :) but to give you a simple and clear way to harmoniously combine colors. You and I will use the well-known "theory of the seasons" about color types of appearance (according to theory, there are 4 such types: winter, spring, summer, autumn), as well as the color wheel.

Color circle.

The color wheel is convenient for selecting harmonious color combinations of 2, 3 or 4 colors. In each example, the lines connecting different colors can be mentally rotated in a circle, obtaining new combinations. Just look at these diagrams like a cheat sheet :)

(In addition to the combinations themselves, pay attention to the indication of contrast - we will need this later).

2 opposite colors: combination with high contrast.

red+green
blue+orange
purple+yellow

3 colors: classic triad, colors arranged in a triangle.

emerald green+yellow-orange+purple
cobalt blue+lime+orange
azure blue+lemon+red
blue+yellow+pink

Example: blue+yellow+pink

3 contrasting colors: two colors are almost related, one is contrasting.

Example: green+yellow+pink.

Very close option:
4 colors: 3 related and 1 contrasting.

Example: yellow+blue+purple+pink.

3 related colors: low contrast combination.

Example: lilac + shades of pink.

4 colors: two mutually reinforcing.

Example: blue + salad green + pink + warm beige instead of orange.

It's hard to find an example :)
This is more relevant for the set of clothes as a whole.

Every color can be used in varying degrees of saturation. In the color wheel below, each color is divided into 6 rows - from light pastels to muted ones, with bright and pure colors in the middle.

You can create a comfortable and harmonious interior not only by choosing the design of the space, but also by correctly combining colors in the interior. They are the ones who can influence the emotional and physical state of a person. Thanks to correctly selected color relationships, the house and its owner become an integral organism.

The color wheel is one of the important tools for creating the right color combinations in the interior. Issac Newton was the first to systematize the spectrum, dividing a white ray of light into red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet. This was the first color scheme.

Today, color wheels consist of one, two and three disks. They show what the relationships are between the colors arranged in a circle. All the colors of the spectrum are located on the axis of the circle - primary, secondary and tertiary. For example, Itten's color wheel:

Primary colors

All colors, with the exception of white, come from primary colors. Blue, yellow and red (the triangle in the center of the circle) are the primary tones. Combinations of these three colors make up the secondary colors.

Secondary colors

The next six colors of the circle are obtained by mixing two primary (primary) colors. For example, purple is obtained by mixing red and blue, and green is obtained by mixing blue and yellow, but orange is a combination of red and yellow.

Tertiary colors

If you mix one primary color with a secondary color, you get a tertiary tone. Total - 12 colors. You can also create a tertiary color by mixing a base tone with more of another base tone to create a tertiary color. For example, one part blue with two parts red will create a red-violet color.

Advice :
It is important which colors are located next to the tone that interests you, as well as those that lie opposite the color you have chosen. For example, yellow goes well with the opposite violet, and light green is harmonious with the color of bright pink or fuchsia. Next to yellow there are two colors with which you can create harmonious chromatic combinations.

Shades and halftones

Shades are obtained from the main color. For example, blue has light blue and dark blue shades.
. Tone is the result of adding white and black (gray) to the base color. Tone, unlike pure pigment, makes the color softer and more pleasing to the eye.

How to mix colors

The perception of color depends on the distance of the color spot from the human eye. For example, as the distance increases, green appears more bluish, yellow begins to turn orange, and orange begins to turn red.
. The saturation of the color tone of the interior depends on the illumination of the interior. Light levels range from light to dark on a gray scale. Floors and walls can reflect light, so light-colored surfaces in a room enhance brightness, while dark-colored surfaces dampen tones, making them dull.

Advice :

.The quality of brightness or depth of color shade depends on the light and shadow in the interior. Therefore, adding a gray tone to the design of a room can significantly soften the effects of different color combinations.
. If you need different shades of blue, dilute the color combination of the interior with a black shade. And then the cold tones of blue will sparkle with tonal gradations.
. To change the shade of any paint in the interior, add white. It will dilute and extinguish unnecessary brightness in the color combination.

Scale for determining color proportions

Using this scale, you can determine the proportions of tones and halftones. A safe ratio for color combinations in the interior is 70/20/10.
70% - tertiary shades in a neutral base
20% - secondary colors
10% - primary color

Advice :
Use moderation when mixing colors! Try not to mix more than a few shades. Two or three colors in a neutral base are considered the safest.

Various color schemes

Color schemes and triads are a set of interior color combinations that work together to create a visually appealing palette. The color combinations given in color schemes can be considered classic. Of course, the possible color combinations are endless. But experienced designers feel which of the schemes to apply in practice.

Classic triad

A combination of three colors that are equidistant from each other. The use of such contrasting combinations will create a harmonious palette. You should choose one main color and use the other two as accents.

Analog triad

Combinations of 2 to 5 colors located nearby make up similar or related combinations. For example, yellow-orange, yellow, yellow-green, green, blue-green.

Complementary combinations

A complementary color (also known as a contrast color) that is opposite the second color on the Itten color wheel. The combination of these colors creates a bright and exciting effect, especially at maximum saturation.

Rectangular diagram

A four-color combination is a scheme consisting of one primary color and two additional colors. The company includes one more additional tone to highlight accents. For example, blue-green, blue-violet, orange-red, orange-yellow.

Square pattern

A combination of four colors located at equal distances from each other. Dynamic colors are different in tone and, at the same time, complement each other. For example: purple, orange-red, yellow, blue-green.

Rules for using a color scheme

Color combinations in the interior are conventionally divided into warm and cold. Thanks to them, you can visually enlarge or reduce the room. It all depends on the chosen basic tone. This is why the selection of complementary colors is so important. They are located opposite each other on the color wheel. Each tone brings out the richness of the other. When using complementary colors, one color should be soft and weak in tone, while the other should be more dominant. For example, an intense dark purple should be paired with light yellow shades.

Decorate adjacent rooms in similar colors. Plan your color scheme based on how visible each room is from the other. Look for related colors. For example, related tones are located next to each other on the color wheel. These colors produce less contrasting effects than complementary colors. For example, the dark tones of a blue-green room combined with the light blue colors of the adjacent room can give the feeling of floating in a blue lagoon.

Choose a base color that you like best and use as many shades of it as you can think of. For example, they give maximum effect when adding related or complementary colors. Contrary to popular belief, monochrome is not a black and white duo or one single color. True monochrome combinations often consist of one main tone and several adjacent tones. For example, green color may look quite independent and self-sufficient. It fills the entire interior space, but this is only at first glance. If you look closely, you will see tones of apple and grass, young greenery and swampy mud in shades of khaki, juicy lime and pistachio, transparent candy in yellow-green tints and olives. All these shades are successfully emphasized by white, gray, as well as interspersed tones in metal and wood colors. That's basically how you get monochrome!

Advice :

Choose one favorite color that will become the main color in the interior. And then add to it objects and accessories in shades and halftones of the same color, and dilute this complex monochrome range with things in neutral shades. But only a little bit - in order to shade the main palette.

First decide where you are going to use the colors in the room. The general rule when decorating is to use three different values in color combinations: light, medium and dark. Walls and floors are usually decorated in light colors, depending on the effect you are trying to create. The floors should be slightly darker than the walls to avoid a floating effect. Window sashes and large pieces of furniture are often created in a medium value to tie in light walls and floors. Dark colors should be used as an accent color in the interior.

Color temperature

Some color combinations in the interior are warm, others are cold. Psychologists say that the color of a room can affect a person’s mood and well-being and evoke an emotional response in him. Some color combinations in the interior create a general feeling of calm and physical satisfaction, while others cause internal tension and discomfort. Colors can be either an ideal partner or an enemy that you will have to fight unconsciously.

Warm and cozy colors
for the interior are located on the right side of the color wheel. They radiate positive energy and the power to unite people.

Red

radiates energy, strength and passion. Restaurants and bars often use this color of strong energies because it increases appetite and promotes socializing. And it is a common choice for kitchens and dining rooms in the home. However, red should be avoided in the bedroom.

Orange

This color is considered exciting and powerful. Its presence in the kitchen and dining room is known to increase appetite and relax. Psychologists advise using orange in moderation. Orange is less aggressive than red. It creates warmth and a feeling of joy. However, it is recommended to use it only as an accent color.

Yellow

Sunny shades of yellow are associated with happiness and warmth, but rich and bright tones can increase frustration and anger. Typically, yellow is an uplifting color. When yellow is overused, it can become distracting and overwhelming. Do not allow this color in large quantities in the children's room because children are known to cry often. But using it in the kitchen in tandem with orange will cause positive emotions and even euphoria. Yellow has different effects depending on how and in what quantities it is used.

Cool and soothing colors

Cool and soothing colors located on the left side of the color wheel provide a sense of calm and a sense of trust:

. Green. It is a calming and refreshing color that reminds us of young greenery, grass, pistachios and juicy limes. It easily fits into any room. Green conveys a feeling of renewal and growth. It is used in rest rooms, such as bedrooms. It is not uncommon to see different shades of green in the kitchen. And, of course, in children’s rooms, because children love everything natural so much, especially colors associated with nature.

Blue

If you're trying to create a calm, spa-like environment, consider blue. Like green, it is a calming color and is also good for bedroom decor. Iridescent and bright shades of blue are used in offices to increase productivity. Light blue can make a room feel bright and refreshing, while deep blue creates a sense of self-worth.

Violet

This color has long been associated with royalty and wealth. It contains the calmness of blue and the energy of red. Combined with some active tones, it stimulates creativity and vitality. However, in large quantities and in tandem with red, it becomes dangerous to health, causing euphoria.

Advice :

Brown should be mentioned as the most common color in interiors. Brown consists of several colors, which are based on warm and cool tones: red, yellow and blue. Dark brown or wenge is obtained by adding black to this triad. Brown represents restraint, reliability and modesty. This is one of the most powerful tranquilizer colors, it belongs to the warm colors of the earth, and therefore has become the basis of a psychologically calming palette.

Brown fits perfectly into color combinations in the interior, for example, with gold, as well as tones similar to it in shades, for example, with yellow. If we ignore the interior, many people associate brown and red colors with warts. Follow some principles so that they don't bother you.

The appearance of purple in a brown tones suggests subtle idealized relationships and feelings. Such combinations are appropriate in living rooms and dining rooms, where an environment that brings pleasure to the body is needed: delicious food, luxury items, beautiful accessories and furniture.

Color combinations in different rooms

Before choosing a color for the kitchen, living room, bedroom or nursery, you should remember that white plays an important role in the palette.
White - this is the basis of the spectrum. It really helps freshen up the space and makes it feel clean. Therefore, this color is always appropriate in pastel colors, combinations of various colors of a neutral palette in the interior. But even warm and hot shades from Mexican interiors allow white color, as a complementary and accentuating blue and light blue color combinations.

Pastel color combinations

Pastel colors are the result of adding a lot of white to various combinations of complementary colors. They create a comfortable, spacious feeling in any room.

Neutral color palette

Shades of white, beige, dark brown, gray and black form the basis of neutral color combinations. The neutral palette is the lightest and airiest for one obvious reason: all of these neutral shades mix with most colors on the wheel. They can be stylish and dramatic. For example, black and white, as neutral tones, create a wonderful palette of complementary shades for different base tones.

Advice :
If you choose neutral color combinations in your interior, use bright accessories to accent the walls and add interest to the room. When you're ready for a change, simply change the color of your accessories.

Bedroom

The bedroom interior is usually created in soothing colors. However, through different color combinations using complementary tones, designers have opened up a lot of possibilities. For example, combinations of gray and beige colors in the bedroom interior create the lightest and most weightless intimate spaces in which you can relax from the hustle and bustle of the day.
For example, the bedrooms are magnificent, in which pearl-pearl shades predominate, combined with a beige tone.

A bright bedroom is created when you choose one intense and colorful primary color, for example, fuchsia pink. The selected color on the color wheel is combined with light yellow. They complement each other, but by introducing white, or a similar color to yellow, khaki, you will get a more balanced interior.

A bedroom in gray colors is a “shelter” for a person seeking privacy and escapism from the bustle of the outside world. A bedroom in gray tones is indifferent to the bright and conflicting outside world.

Red shades between warm related yellow, peach and orange tones, which are complemented by combinations of blue, turquoise and light blue. The impression of contrast is hidden thanks to gray shades and white, which actively participates in the overall palette.

A bedroom with color combinations, among which turquoise occupies a dominant position, looks optimistic. In such an interior, it is important to create a complex color scheme consisting of several additional tones, for example, khaki, blue, light blue. And also tones that are located opposite blue-green on the color wheel, namely beige, light yellow or even peach, but you need to feel the measure. Because with the introduction of warm, bright shades, the room will become like a guest room for communication.

Fashionable Scandinavian style is reflected in the bedrooms. The main tones in color combinations are brown and purple, which require the support of calm shades of gray, lilac and grass. Natural colors are combined in such a bedroom with airy shades of frosty air.

A bedroom in blue tones gravitates towards peace and perfection. Nothing seems to distract you from relaxation. With a minimum amount of furniture it looks extravagant. If you add islands of white and cream to blue, this will soften the pressure of blue. In rooms serving as a place of relaxation, splashes of optimistic pink are preferred. Bedroom in lilac tones

Raspberry color in the bedroom is for extravagant people. And the partner yellow and neutral black in shiny nickel colors help to enhance the extravagance of purple.

Living room
