The sequence of clapboard lining the ceiling and walls of the veranda. Roof and ceiling of the veranda and terrace: photo. Ceiling surface insulation

Owners of private houses and summer cottages often increase their living space by adding a summer room or veranda. Here you can have pleasant tea parties with loved ones, arrange holidays or enjoy a relaxing holiday. In order to fully use the additional square meters not only in the warm season, but also in autumn and winter, it is necessary to insulate the ceiling of the veranda, as well as take care of the selection of suitable finishing materials.

To answer questions, you can't start with the difference between a balcony and a balcony. The first is represented by this particular typology. This type of balconies, claims Supreme Court, may be regarded as similar to the soles, which in any case belong to the owners of two floors, one above the other, and whose expenses are borne by each of them by half.

The ratio is a function, that is, the fact that the balcony, like the ceiling, vault and slab, acts simultaneously from the upper floor and from the lower floor. Unlike the projection balcony, always the legitimacy of the judges who make up the "extension" of the respective real estate unit belongs exclusively to the owner of it; only front and bottom decorative trim and decorative elements should be considered as ordinary goods for everyone when they fit into the perspective of the building and make it aesthetically pleasing.

Features of the operation of the veranda

Repair and decoration of ceilings must be carried out taking into account some important requirements:

  • The veranda should be easy to use, regardless of the living space. This is especially important on the open terrace, which is not heated.
  • Moisture resistant. Atmospheric precipitation in the form of snow and rain leads to an increase in air humidity, which can adversely affect the ceiling covering.
  • Attractive appearance. This important condition must be observed, however, not all materials cope with the aesthetic function.

Based on certain conditions for the use of the terrace, as well as on the requirements in relation to its appearance, materials are selected that are suitable for a closed or open space.

From this brief review of case law on balconies, the following conclusions can be drawn. The specific configuration of the balconies, it must be said, is relevant to third party liability; let's explain it better. In the case of a built-in balcony, the infiltration from the upper floor flows down, since the owner of this real estate unit is considered the owner of this part of the balcony and, as such, has the right to demand the elimination of the cause of the damage and compensation for the same.

Not so for the case of a projecting balcony; In fact, all this belongs to the owner of the real estate unit in which it represents a rollover. The stains that appear on the subbucks therefore do not in themselves constitute damage to the owner of the downstairs apartment.

Ceiling surface insulation

Initially, it is worth understanding the scope of work and the necessary financial costs. This is especially important if the ceiling of the veranda is finished with your own hands. Expanded polystyrene, mineral wool, polystyrene foam, polyurethane foam are suitable for insulation. The most common and economical are polystyrene and mineral wool. Their use will help to make the veranda warm and cozy.

Damage will begin to occur when the entry from the balcony becomes part of the exclusive property of the property. In case of water penetration to the lower floor, the costs of repairing the tiled floor with its waterproofing, as well as restoring the picture of the apartment where the infiltration occurred, how to destroy them? Thank you.

Minvata has a higher rate of heat retention. Its installation, in comparison with the previous material, is easier and faster. Thermal insulation using an external foil coating and double metallization will help to insulate the terrace with high quality without unnecessary financial costs.

Before insulating the ceiling, it is necessary to perform the same procedure for the floor and walls. The surface is exposed to moisture, so it is important to create a reliable protection in the form of a waterproofing layer. Often, a special perforated film is used for this, which is fixed with metal-coated glue.

Suitable finishes

The ceiling on the veranda must be covered with durable durable materials that are not afraid of water, dust and drafts. The use of tension panels is possible, but the fabric in this case must be pre-treated. The coating is subject to mechanical damage, so it is better to use it in high rooms. The main advantages of stretch ceilings are the original appearance, variety of colors and textures. Consider the most common options for finishing the ceiling of the veranda.

Soffits in architecture are called panels to cover various horizontally facing surfaces such as ledges, cornices, ceilings in open areas and more. The soffit simultaneously performs two main functions - to provide ventilation of the attic space and to give the facade beauty and a finished look. Ventilation of the roof space is necessary to increase the life of the roof and against moisture and mold.

Vinyl soffits are panels that are mounted on wood or metal profiles under the ceiling and connected together with a locking edge. Thanks to this, the panels are easy to install, fit tightly to each other, since the fixing screws remain hidden.

Painting

Perhaps the simplest and most cost-effective solution. Coloring compositions and whitewashing do not hide surface defects, therefore, it is preliminarily finished with plaster, after which it is carefully leveled. This will require additional materials, tools and time. The painted surface looks dull. A special texture composition that imitates various materials will help correct the situation.

Soffits are shaped like sheathing, but are made from the same polymer as vinyl siding. The main difference between vinyl soffits and others decorative panels used for this purpose is that they are perforated to allow air to circulate underneath. Thanks to ventilation, attic spaces do not suffer from moisture or mold.

Perforated soffits are used to cover the protruding parts of facades: cornices, cornices, gables, visors, etc. they are also ideal for cladding the ceiling of a porch or garden gazebo. Due to air circulation in open space, for many years the surface will look good and does not need to be repaired. Non-perforated soffits are recommended for indoor ceiling cladding.

Wallpapering

An inexpensive traditional option that is not suitable for open cold verandas. Excess moisture will cause them to swell. To extend the life of the wallpaper, it is enough to cover the surface with a layer of varnish. A good way out of the situation would be to use special non-woven or vinyl wallpapers that are not afraid of water.

Benefits of using vinyl soffit in construction

Mechanical strength - resistance to shock and injury, as well as impact on environment. Vinyl soffits do not burn, do not change color in direct sunlight, do not absorb moisture, and the building looks like new for a long time. versatility can be used both for cornices, terraces and under ceilings, as well as for interior ceiling cladding. Thanks to a wide range colors, they can be combined with all types of finishing materials, without limiting the scope of fantasy. Environmental and fire safety - vinyl soffits are non-combustible and non-toxic, can be used in buildings with special requirements. Fire safety and resistance to aggressive environments. Low weight - their light weight is important when renovating old buildings with construction that cannot withstand excess weight, which is inevitable when using traditional materials. The Khomutov Theater stands on the southwestern edge of the city park and turns into the main facade of Bozena-Nemtsov Street.

Finishing the ceiling on the veranda is made using a variety of materials. Practicality and low cost are the main requirements that consumers place on them. Finishing should be easy to install, have an attractive appearance and, if necessary, be replaced without undue effort. These materials include familiar as well as modern options.

Chomutov was one of the first Czech cities in which the Jesuit Order directed its efforts. Later in Chomutov, as in other cities of similar importance, the German nomadic societies went. At the turn of the century most of theatrical performances took place in the hall of the Adler Hotel, and the performance was staged by the Teplitz Theater in the theater.

At that time, representatives of a growing and wealthy city began to realize the urgent need for large social spaces. The building they planned to serve was not only a theater, but also a social center that would combine more functions. Multi-purpose buildings with a theater hall, which, in addition to theatrical performances, also served other social purposes, arose at the same time mainly in the Czech environment of large cities.

Dropped ceilings

The structures allow you to insulate and sheathe the ceiling, hiding all the necessary communications. It is not recommended to use drywall, as moisture can damage it. You can finish the ceiling on the terrace using various hanging products:

The first floor of the building was occupied by a dance hall, but the premises of the city leadership at the beginning of the century were no longer suitable. Construction began at the very beginning, and in May of the following year, the process of bidding for finishing work and renting the restaurant began. The exact date of the opening of the theatre, or rather the social center, does not reveal the available sources and literature, but it can be assumed that the beginning of the autumn theater season of the year.

In the first half of the century, the theater building probably had only minimal structural changes, such as the expansion of the orchestra or the gradual modernization of stage equipment. After the Second World War, only the most necessary repair work. In the eighties, the statues of the four muses disappeared from theater attacks. However, until the 1990s, the city was not included in the renovation.

  • Rack. They look attractive, however, they cause some inconvenience during installation and maintenance.
  • Cassette. Made from aluminum or galvanized steel. The main advantages are durability, resistance to moisture, pleasant appearance. The use of panels painted in different colors helps to create original interiors.
  • Tiled. They are characterized by low cost, they are easily mounted on the ceiling, but they do not look very interesting. Despite this, suspended slabs are popular with consumers due to their high strength, low weight, durability and high-quality thermal insulation.
  • Mirrored. Quite rarely, the ceilings on the veranda are sewn up with just such panels. They look modern and quite bold, they require an appropriate environment in the room.

Part of the building's original design was probably not an elongated ground wing on the northwest side known as the porch, later used as a backdrop and now serves as a garden restaurant. In addition, the adjacent shell-shaped musical gazebo does not match stylishly next to the standing theatre. This corresponds to its position, which does not correspond to the symmetrical arrangement of the theater and its surroundings.

The representative building, built in the Neo-Renaissance style, with elements announcing the upcoming Art Nouveau, has survived without significant additions and modifications. The theater stands to the northwest of the city center on the territory of the city park. The building faces southwest with its main façade. The symmetrical façade is dominated by two stepped towers on the sides, with escape stairs from the auditorium dotted with glazed lanterns with flat roof. The area of the facade between them has six axial windows, on the ground floor there is an arcade loggia under a balcony on the floor.

clapboard

Wooden paneling is made using natural lining, which creates a unique coziness and comfort. The material is harmoniously combined with almost any interior. Installation can be done on your own without the involvement of specialists. The result is a reliable durable coating.

The windows on the ground floor of the front wall illuminate from the south the premises of the original restaurant, the first and second floors of the auditorium of the theater hall, located parallel to the entrance facade. On the first floor and on the first floor, the windows face a straight arc, the second floor - a semicircular arc. The arcades on the first floor have direct transfers, the arcade arch, covered with a metal elliptical awning with glass fillers, serves as the main entrance to the building. The boundary ground floor with a loggia separates from the next floor a distinctive floor with fountains with triglyphs and drops.

The main advantage of lining is its tenon-groove fixation system. During installation, the boards are tightly joined and snapped into place with fasteners. The finished surface is dense and tight. It is recommended to install panels towards the window, which visually expands the space. Transverse installation, on the contrary, reduces its size. Wiring and other communications can be placed under the hemmed boards. After the installation is completed, the panels are treated with a deck varnish that protects against moisture.

wicker ceiling

An original solution would be a wicker ceiling on the veranda, which is in perfect harmony with garden furniture. The cover is practical and stylish.

Nowadays, you can hem the ceiling yourself using ordinary plywood. For a veranda with an area of 6x2.3 m, no more than 6 sheets of material with a thickness of 3 mm will be required. Preference should be given to plywood varieties that are resistant to moisture. The sheets are carefully cut into strips 10 cm thick. If each tape is even and the same, then the finished weaving will be beautiful and even.

Initially, work is performed on any flat surface. In good weather, it is convenient to carry out weaving on the lawn, where you can freely lay out everything necessary tools and materials.

The strips are staggered, and no clamps are required. The tapes are connected with a rubber hammer. The material holds its shape well and looks unusual. The surface made in this way is pleasing to the eye and does not bother over time.

MDF and fiberboards

They are characterized by high thermal insulation properties, have an attractive appearance. The presence of one- and two-sided lamination facilitates care. All that is required during operation is wiping the surface from dust. The color and texture of the material imitate natural wood, but are much cheaper. The weight of the plates is low, so the installation is carried out using lightweight structures.

Plastic

This is another inexpensive practical material. It does not look as beautiful as a tree, but it tolerates a humid environment well. This allows you to apply plastic panels in unheated rooms with a possible increase in humidity levels. The ceiling is even and smooth. Light weight allows you to produce everything installation work without much difficulty. After the installation is completed, it is necessary to install a skirting board that will mask all joints.

If you don’t know how to hem the ceiling on the veranda of a private house or in the country, it’s enough to choose the right material from the list above. Practical, durable, attractive options are not necessarily expensive, today you can choose a solution for every taste and budget.

Veranda or terrace?

Often these two concepts are confused, but they have a clear definition and difference.
A veranda is a room attached to the main part of the house. It is necessarily glazed on all sides, although most often the windows are large and single-frame, with one glass. In the warm season, the windows, as a rule, do not close. In cold weather, the veranda is not heated and serves as a dressing room in front of the house, protecting it from the wind and creating an insulating air cushion.

A terrace is an open area on a common ground with a house. It may have a roof or its imitation, it may be fenced, but it is more of a street area than a room.

Often the choice between these two options is determined not by preferences, but by climatic conditions: in cold regions, verandas are preferred.

Given the great openness, and for the terrace also the possibility of the absence of a roof, the floor is a key element. Its importance and appearance should not be neglected in any case.

The most common and available is wooden version, and traditionally they make a plank floor.

However, you can often find other options for decorating the floor on the veranda or terrace.

On the verandas, as a rule, they make the usual flat ceiling. There are a lot of options for creating it - from ordinary plaster or drywall to modern tension structures.

But on the terraces they often show imagination. Sometimes the roof is made solid, sometimes - from beams and various floor options. Look at the photo.

In the design of verandas and terraces, furniture is mainly used that can provide a comfortable stay and at the same time will not deteriorate from rain splashes from the wind. Suitable wooden deck chairs, chairs, tables, sofas and armchairs made of artificial or natural siding, high-quality plastic furniture, glass tables, wicker rocking chairs, furniture with a metal base. If you want to be sure to use pillows - they should be quick-drying from artificial materials.
