This article is written for the glory Satan, Lucifer, Devil, or whatever you like to call it. First of all, I want to make a reservation that I do not intend to prove the existence of the Devil; namely, I do not claim that he existed in the sense in which you and I exist. I am quite serious about the abstract ideas expressed here, however, praising the Devil and opposing Christianity, God and Jesus, I do not mean the existence of any of them in reality. In my opinion, the only one who can be allowed to exist is Jesus. It is likely that at that time there really was a person who was a political and religious leader, but from my point of view, the claims about his divine origin and nature are absurd. My praise of the Devil is not entirely (but for the most part) serious, and it is purely abstract. My task is to consider the value system and worldview that the Christian tradition advocates and show how fundamentally they are at odds with the values ​​and views that I and all Extropians hold.

POWER FOR GOOD

The devil - Lucifer - is a force for good (I understand good, simply, as what I value, not focusing on any principles of universal effectiveness or necessity). "Lucifer" means "bringer of light", and this should open our eyes to its symbolic meaning. The story goes that God cast Lucifer out of heaven because he doubted God and began to embarrass other angels. We must remember that this version of events is from the point of view of the adepts of God, and not the followers of Lucifer (I want to immediately dissociate myself from the official Satanists, with whom I have fundamental differences). The truth could also easily be that Lucifer voluntarily left heaven.

God, being a documented sadist, no doubt wanted Lucifer around so he could punish him and try to bring him back under his (God's) dominion. Most likely, Lucifer actually hated the Kingdom of God, his sadism, the requirement to blindly follow dogma and slavishly obey, his psychopathic anger in response to any manifestation of independence in thoughts or actions. Lucifer realized that he would never be able to think for himself, let alone act, being under Divine control. For this reason, he left Heaven, that terrible spiritual "State" ruled by a cosmic sadist, Jehovah, accompanied by several angels who dared to question the authority of God and the correctness of his system of values.

Lucifer is the embodiment of reason, intellect, critical thinking. He opposes the dogmas of God and generally against any dogmas. He advocates the exploration of new ideas and new approaches in the search for truth.

God demands that we unquestioningly believe in everything he says and do everything he commands. Exterminate the entire tribe to the last generation, including women, children and cattle?(Jeremiah 6:21) . Why not, of course. Wait, that's not very good. SHUT UP YOU DESPITED. THE POWER OF RATIONALITY

Lucifer is called the Prince of Lies. According to Christian dogmas, a lie is everything that contradicts the Word of God, transmitted in the Bible and through the messengers of God on earth. If we accept this definition of a lie, then we must glorify the lie. "Lies" in this case are doubts in dogma. Lucifer's "lie" is a harsh critique of irrational beliefs, beliefs based on fear and following authority. Of course, we should not call it a lie. It is a temptation to start thinking for ourselves, a desire to reason independently, a plea to let us be responsible for our own way of thinking and acting. Praise Lucifer! Celebrate the rationalistic search for truth. The Lord was right in forbidding idolatry, but he forgot to mention that all idols are false and any worship is dangerous. Even our praise of Lucifer should not take the form of idolatry, but simply be an expression of our agreement with his worldview and value system.

Lucifer's striving for rationalism is hateful to God and his adepts. Critical perception of reality blurs the foundations of God's power over our minds. Independently minded people do not make good slaves. Lucifer is called the Prince of Lies because he knows how to help us act rationally. He teaches us to use reason and be responsible for ourselves. We should imitate him and preach his approach to life. He needs support, as he struggles with the laziness and neurasthenia of many. It is much easier to just not try to think, to sit on the sidelines and let other people decide for you what to do, how to live, what to believe in, and where to spend money. After all, if I had to think for myself, I would be faced with the fact that I could be wrong. Horror! I will have to think carefully about my life and the reality in which I live, and that means a lot of work. No, it is much easier to believe, to follow, to agree, to worship, to obey.

VIRTUE PLEASURE

God is also disgusted that we can enjoy life. If we get into the habit, we may lose interest in obedience. We could rather focus our efforts on getting positive feelings from life, and not on avoiding punishment. We could try to achieve the positive instead of shying away from the negative. This would lead to a fall in the authority of the church and state, so God has nothing left to do but stop such tendencies. God hates Lucifer who keeps showing up and tempting us to have a good time, have fun and enjoy life. Adam and Eve sinned by eating the fruit of the tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. They dared to disobey a direct order, which they had to obey blindly, unquestioningly. They have gained reason, reason and the ability to choose for themselves the values ​​​​to which they will strive. Since then, people began to show off, bringing trouble and anxiety to God. Damn it, even among Catholics there are those who doubt the Pope's infallibility. Yes, God, it is very difficult, but some of us will do everything in their power to make it more and more difficult for you and your adherents on earth - religious and political authorities - to control people.

THE VIRTUE OF EGOISM

God likes altruism, altruism understood as true self-sacrifice, and not sacrificing less to get more (which is quite consistent with a rational approach to reality). If God could make exemplary altruists out of us, how much easier it would be for him to control us. Altruists do what they are told without the slightest hint of discontent; after all, discontent would be a manifestation of selfishness, a statement on the right to live one's own life, not adjusting to the lives of others, the interests of God or the State. Lucifer convinces us all the time that we have no reason to be altruists. We can choose values ​​for ourselves just as much as we can think for ourselves. For Lucifer himself, such values ​​are the search for happiness, new knowledge and new experience. Above all, he values ​​the ability to take responsibility for himself and independence in views and beliefs, even if this means that someone may prefer his values ​​​​to others. Those Extropians among us who share his value system and pursue the same goals should help him in his work.

God has a cunning and nasty strategy for spreading altruism, and therefore obedience. He is trying to make us believe in original sin. He wants us to believe that we are born sinful, that we are evil before we have done anything. We initially need God and his messengers on earth, in salvation from Sin. Otherwise, we will burn in the Fiery Gehenna forever and ever and lose eternal bliss (he really did not explain to us what it actually consists of). The path to salvation lies through service to God and his dogmas. It is unlikely that we would become so willing to obey God without the idea of ​​Original Sin, since we could figure out that we already live quite worthily, and therefore we will go to heaven (forgetting, however, to ask how it actually looks like). Fortunately for God, original sin is a sure guarantee that we will always feel the precariousness of our position. We will always be unclean, and the threat of hellfire will hang over us.

PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY

In order to finally make sure that any notion of personal responsibility has been destroyed, and we are like clay in the hands of the Lord, from which he molds what he wants, God and his feeble-minded minions constantly inspire us that Jesus Christ opened the way to salvation for us dying for our sins. Redemption lies through faith and obedience. Remember what happened when Christ supposedly died for our sins. His actions opened before us the possibility of salvation. But here's what I'd like to know: how can another person's actions justify all my actions and save me from the slightest responsibility? I myself am responsible for my actions. I can't do anything to take away the fact that other people act a certain way, and they can't do anything to take away my responsibility for myself. The concept of Original Sin and salvation in Christ is deeply offensive to me and to all Extropians who value personal responsibility.
