"A real mess is going on": a report from the Olympic Rio de Janeiro. Report from the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games

On October 12, Greco-Roman wrestling competitions were held in Buenos Aires at the III Youth Olympic Games Oh. Russia was represented in two weight categories: up to 71 kg - Stepan Starodubtsev and up to 92 kg - Muhammad Evloev. Despite the fact that the result is not quite the one we could count on, the wrestlers brought two medals to Russia - silver and bronze. Portal "Team Russia" gives an interview with medalists and senior coach of the Russian team Islam Duguchiev.

Stepan Starodubtsev confidently won two bouts in the group and reached the final, where he fought with Moldavian Aleksandrin Gutu. Despite the fact that this is not the first match between them and the Russian has won more often before, this time everything went according to the scenario of the opponent, who looked very powerful.

He was afraid that he began to lag behind in the account, he began to rush. Which immediately led to annoying mistakes, - Starodubtsev explains, - I had to exhale and calmly continue the fight ... It didn’t work out. Nevertheless, I am glad that I reached the final. If I had been told before the Games that I would take the silver home, I would never have believed it. I began to prepare for the Olympics in less than a year, and was already able to show a relatively high result. Now we need to rest and start preparing for the Tokyo Olympics with renewed vigor.

Wrestling coach Islam Duguchiev believes that excitement prevented Starodubtsev from winning.

I do not think that Stepan is physically weaker than the Moldavian. I just got excited today. Not many young athletes can withstand the pressure of five Olympic rings.

Muhammad Evloev competed for our team in the weight category up to 92 kg. The first fight against the Iranian Nosrati ended in a defeat with a score of 3:5. This almost immediately deprived Muhammad of hopes for a golden ending. Although our coaching staff did not consider all refereeing decisions to be fair and reacted very emotionally to them. I had to fight only for the third place, and in this duel Evloev did not leave any chances to the Egyptian Vehib - 11:2. The wrestler himself looked upset after the end of the competition.

A medal is a medal, but I came here to win and I was absolutely confident in my abilities. I knew all the opponents very well, except for the Iranian, whom I had a chance to meet in the first fight. I calmly led the fight, the score was 3:0 in my favor. But then, due to completely incomprehensible judicial decisions, everything broke down. I won the next fight, but, of course, I don’t feel much joy now, because I think that I could and was ready to bring our team a gold medal.

Islam Duguchiev is nevertheless proud of his athletes.

Muhammad is a fighter. The judges did not notice what the whole hall saw. Half of them were not engaged in wrestling, they do not know what they are talking about. But sport is sport. There is nothing wrong with today's results, this is just the beginning in the sports career of Stepan and Muhammad. Both athletes have good data, both can qualify for gold. Let's draw conclusions - next time we'll take our own.

The Olympic stadium filled up very slowly, even somehow not in a sporty way. An hour before the start of the ceremony, half of the seats were full. This is surprising, first of all, because already a few days before the start of the Games, tickets for the first Olympic event were not available, and directly on the day of the ceremony they were sold by hand at twice the face value.

When I shared my concerns about the availability of seats with the volunteer girl who laid out the script for the solemn ceremony on each chair, I honestly did not expect to hear a different answer. I think everyone will agree with me - they do not refuse the opportunity to see the opening of the Olympic Games with their own eyes.

"Don't even think about it. These are Italians: they come at the last moment, but they are not late," the girl said.

Indeed, 10 minutes before the start, the stadium was almost full.

People approached, and at that time two people on the stage - a guy and a girl - had been teaching the audience for half an hour how they could help the organizers of the ceremony to make it even brighter. For this, a silver cellophane bag was placed on each chair, in which there was a simple, but such an important set - a bell, a small flashlight and a white cape. As conceived by the director of the ceremony, Marko Balic, at strictly defined moments of the celebration, 30 thousand people were to ring bells, let out a silver wave and illuminate the Turin sky with lanterns.

When the five-minute countdown to the ceremony began, the stadium was nearly full. As subsequent events showed, this ceremony really could not be missed. If only because its authors announced that "passion lives here" and promised to fill the heart of every viewer with it. For this purpose, a large anvil was brought to the stage in advance, symbolizing the industrial spirit of this city (Turin is one of the largest industrial centers in Italy).

Less than a minute after the cover was thrown off the anvil, the "urban shaman" Yuri Chechi, even earlier nicknamed the "Lord of the Rings" for his confident victories on European, world and Olympic platforms in exercises on the rings, headed towards her with confident steps.

With one blow, this miraculous hero broke the anvil that fettered the quivering heart of Turin, and it began to beat with new, hitherto unseen strength, letting fresh blood into this long-suffering city.

It would be strange if the machines that appeared here back in the 19th century simply gave up. Six guys on roller skates, drawn by accelerators attached to their backs - gas burners, at the maximum speed for themselves, wedged into the very heart, breaking it into two equal parts. It seemed that everything was over. Even 30,000 people with their bells and lanterns (white capes acquired a completely different, more and more sinister meaning every minute) could not help a young heart.

Help came from an unexpected quarter. These were cows. This harmless animal gave a new meaning to what was happening. In a winter, gray industrial city, beautiful, green trees grew in one moment. And now the cows have already turned into fairies, who were immediately picked up in a waltz by gentlemen. I don’t know who it was, but the bulls, who could also turn into someone else, were not on the stage or in the stadium. It is possible that some trees turned into gentlemen, succumbing to the magical charms of the fairy cows. If this is so, then they have changed beyond recognition: from bright green to white with black spots, characteristic of thoroughbred breeding cows of the Parma region of Italy.

A magical waltz provoked the arrival of winter in the city. These were huge, round, white balls of ideal shape, attached to the shoulders of the artists. It took 10 minutes for this snow, which must be admitted to be very beautiful, to prepare the ground for the removal of the flag of Italy.

The embodiment of beauty, grace, all feelings at the same time - the Italian actress and model Carla Bruni in a dazzling dress (30 thousand shiny bags immediately seemed out of place) carried the flag of her country in a way that only she could do. Clara stopped. A carabinieri approached her with a marching step. May she not give up her flag to this tall Italian, may she stand like that forever!

What happened next could not be expected, but it can be understood. A little girl (assisted by a choir of 82) sang the Italian anthem. She sang it so that Carla Bruni cried, the carabinieri shed tears, and I can bet that at least 25 thousand people in the stadium had wet eyes. But the skier quickly brought everyone to their senses.

The flight of an unknown athlete, his separation from the springboard and landing in a single impulse depicted 477 people. They were flawless. Even now, they could be given the highest marks for technique and execution and be awarded the first gold of Turin. As it turned out, the skier not only brought everyone to their senses, but also reconciled the City with itself.

The same six guys with fire on their backs appeared again and revived their own kind. High-tech Olympic rings were mounted on metal trusses with a passion that only Italians have. Under these rings, those for the sake of which it was all actually started had to pass.

The first, as is customary for a long time, were the Olympians of Greece. Then they moved alphabetically. The warmest welcome, of course, was given to the Olympians from Kenya, Bermuda, Madagascar, Senegal and Venezuela. It was evident to the naked eye that even this warm meeting did not warm the brave guys and girls, although the thermometer was a steady zero. Many Germans have passed, few Norwegians - their skiers are preparing for today's starts. There was a large delegation from the USA. Our team was the most fun.

And then I realized what that volunteer girl meant when she said that the Italians come on time. The Italian team consisted of at least 200 people. When their flagship walked around the stage, the rears were just entering the stadium. They filled all the free space. Now the stadium has become packed, which is called the eyeballs.

When the parade-alle of the Olympic teams ended, it became obvious that the organizers should show them something live (the parade participants watched the first part of the opening on monitors).

At first, a large amount of delicious food was carried in front of them - everything that Italy is rich in. This was done, apparently, so that for all 16 days the athletes would not think about anything but records. Then there was a royal ball and a demonstration of forbidden karate techniques. There was a story about the unequal fight of the hero, played by the famous Italian dancer Roberto Bole, with an armless monster. After ten minutes of dancing, the monster was carried out. But as soon as the hero left the stage, a new monster appeared on it - a Ferrari Formula 1 car driven by the Italian Luca Badoer. With a wild roar, the Ferrari spun around its axis, leaving clouds of gray smoke. The performance of the car exhausted the theme of technological progress, which was the signal for the beginning of the last part of the ceremony.

After the speeches of the President of the IOC, Mr. Rogge, and the head of the Italian Organizing Committee for the preparation for the Olympic Games, Valentino Castellani, the Olympic flag was raised. Then Peter Gabriel sang a sensual song about peace and love, with the last chords of which the Olympic flame appeared in the stadium. He was greeted with emotions that would have been enough to illuminate a small quarter of Turin.

They passed it on to each other top athletes Italy, but the main movement was made by the legendary Italian skier Stefania Belmondo. As soon as the fire caught fire, the stadium began to slowly empty.

It’s hard to wake up early, the sun is hot in Sochi during the day, but at night it’s pretty cool and one blanket doesn’t save you. But I seem to have come to my senses, although fatigue is visible on my face.

I got a double bed. Thanks for being new. This is a standard room in the Zapolyarye sanatorium, costing 5,000 rubles per day.

While waking up I decided to show you the rules. There are many interesting points there.
It turns out you can not smoke in the room and smoke in bed. And isn't it the same thing? Or someone takes the bed out into the corridor and smokes while lying in it?
Most of all amused by the item: "Hide infectious diseases."
I thought...
He spat and went to the shower.

A real scoop is already waiting here. And these tiles still remember the Soviet man.

Things are collected. Fan ID and ticket are separate.

And here is the building of the sanatorium. By the way, the musicians of Bashmet lived with us. So this is not the worst hotel, but the service is terrible.

Breakfast, here is dietary and according to its program. But for some reason from 8 to 10, according to the regime.

Coffee and scrambled eggs with sausages...

The whole of Sochi is Volkswagens and Audis in Olympic coloring. And the rest of the brands have their brands sealed. By the way, a taxi in Sochi works on a meter and the prices are quite adequate, they arrive quickly, they issue a check.

And here is the station in Sochi. We decided to go to the Olympic Park by train, especially since they go quickly and without traffic jams. And by the way, it's completely free.

But first, a very strict inspection. We called it a massage session. They probe every crease on your body)) It is forbidden to take pictures here, which is what the guard points out to me.

And here is the Swallow, already waiting for us.

There are still few fans in the morning.

The cars are free, you can relax and take a nap. I am hung with all sorts of badges like a Christmas tree toy.

Or you can look through a clean window at the landscapes outside the window.

There are sockets here, a smartphone forgotten in the evening is charging.

We arrived at the Olympic Park. Now you have to go through the control and inspection again.

Volunteers no longer sleep, but direct human flows.

Well, another massage session is over. We are upbeat and cheerful...

And then Alyosha the snowman meets us...

I wonder how many sheets ruined

And next to Ezh. The boots, by the way, are quite decent, new.

In the morning the Olympic Park is empty. Not all pavilions have opened yet.

But there are performers on the stage. This is an ensemble from Vologda.

While walking to the stadium, we walked around the pavilion Russian regions. Here all the diversity of Russia is collected. Compact...

Folk craftsmen, weaving something.

And this is the stage where folk groups from different regions perform.

The torch is already on.

Iceberg Stadium is waiting for us, where the figure skating competitions take place.

All catering at the Olympics was privatized by Coca-Cola. Therefore, there is nothing to eat ... Sausages and cola

Clean and light. Everywhere there are a lot of signs and signs.

This is not a competition yet, but only training for dance couples. The ticket cost 500 rubles, we went only to see the stadium from the inside and look at the skaters. They also roll the program, except perhaps without their music. Our couples are training in this session

Someone executes the program in pieces, working out individual elements.

And someone fulfills completely.

Tatyana Tarasova came. The hall burst into applause.

Except us, all figure skating fans have gathered here. They are watching so carefully, unlike us...

About the cars went, the ice is poured.

A little more figure skating... and it's time to go out into the sun and walk around the Olympic Park.

The Dutchman poses in front of the Torch.

Positive old woman. Most of our fans are in Sochi.

It's time to have a bite. The choice is not great. But beer is sold, only Baltika 7 - 150 rubles per 0.5 liter. Coffee, tea and sandwiches.

We went for a walk to the House of Fans of the Russian Olympic Team. He is the biggest.

The Prince of Monaco brought his collection of Olympic Torches.

Someone was overwhelmed by the heat or maybe he spent the night in the park. But here no one is chasing anyone, you can sleep peacefully

And we lay on the grass, drank a glass of beer, basked in the February sun.

And then we went to collect free badges. This time they were distributed by Samsung.

I drew a picture, got an Olympic badge. At least it will. what to bring to my son.

But they don’t just give it away, they force you to study the new Samsung smartphone. Fiends...

And it’s time for us to go to the mountain cluster for the luge competition. Again the station, the train ...

An hour later we are already in the mountains at Krasnaya Polyana.

And here we were waiting for a surprise. We decided to eat normally, not sausages. After all, I've been on my feet for over 10 hours. But catering is a nightmare. Either it's over or it's not found. Having already spit on everything, we found the nearest cafe "Friendship"

I really wanted to eat, I had to agree to this chicken shawarma. Of course, this is a quiet horror, for such money ... thanks for staying alive.

And around the mountains. we are waiting for the cable car to the center "Sanki"

Everything is convenient, escalators, lifts. We were late for the start of the competition, so there are no longer any queues.

View from the lift to the bobsleigh track.

It is located on a slope, framed by the Caucasian mountains.

watching luge competitions is still a pleasure. They fly at a speed of 120-140 km/h. Tried to catch one of them. then spat on this idea.

I went to watch the competition on the big screen.

what kind of fans are not here.

We were rooting for our Albert Demchenko and for Togo's representative Bruni Banani... Their delegation has suits with palm trees.

And this is our fans having fun.

But the way back to Sochi was already harder. The people piled up after the competition of lugers and biathletes. I had to ride standing up.

Finally a cafe and decent food. And good beer. And we had to sit until 2-3 hours, and then to the airport for a plane to Moscow.

The airport is spacious and bright.

There is a race car, a Formula 1 track will be built here soon

Waiting for the plane...

I took a picture of myself in the toilet. Nothing... still alive.

But I was tired too. All for now.

Miscellaneous

PB correspondent in London Andrey Vashkevich visited the opening ceremony of the XXX Summer Olympic Games and realized: the British are much more frivolous than the Belarusians, the whole theater is the world, and all the actors in it are people.

There is nothing more stupid than measuring the opening ceremonies of the Olympics against each other. Like: Beijing 2008 was worse than Sydney 2000, but better than Atlanta 1996. In general, every time I watch the opening, I try to remember what happened last time, and nothing happens.

London will be the first to be remembered in detail. Because it was seen live. They didn't show me, I saw it myself. You go up the stairs to the press box, and you see how the shepherd girls crowd before going out. And it's even more interesting than in the bowl of the stadium. They stand, graze, hands resting on their sides. Now they are in the twenty-first century, but if they step under the spotlights, they will find themselves in the eighteenth.

Or you see how, during the lap of honor of the Indian delegation, a man with an Indian flag breaks down from the stands from the stands. And the stewards take him out under non-white hands, and television, of course, does not show this - it is not supposed to.

I think that the Oscars, Palm Branches, Golden Bears and other grand prix for directors are top, but not the highest awards. The most authentic recognition is the staging of ceremonies at the Olympics. Try to come up with a harder genre. Try to put "Titanic" without computer special effects. Try to make "Gone with the Wind" not for the sake of it, but for the sake of a single time. Try to make a performance interesting, the key points of which have been erased to holes: they will take an oath, the teams will go out, the fire will be lit - and nothing can be done about it.

Try to do everything not for the sake of broadcasting - there the audience will still be shown what they want. And for eighty thousand live stadium spectators, each of whom looks where he wants. And they don't have a commentator to explain what they should think about the scene. The director should not draw on the field, he should draw in their head.

Congratulations to Slumdog Millionaire Danny Boyle. He made an excellent attempt to combine hitherto almost incompatible - Victorian, pastoral and toy England, and real England, the one that the British themselves know.

Today's British youth (and two previous generations with him) will make a face of displeasure at hearing about the beautiful meadows with curly-haired lambs, cowherds, gentlemen with whiskers and the industrial boom that made Britain an empire of empires. Victorian Britain is the most correct of all Britains. The most boring.

Boyle finally looked at everyday Britain, at its main, but as if turned into everyday, insufficiently majestic symbols. Like the BBC, like the internet, JK Rowling or Rowan Atkinson. And the abbreviation NHS (National Health Service - that is, the national health care system), made up of hospital beds with wheels - is generally brilliant. There is no Briton in the world who would not have claims against this organization. For the inhabitants of the Magic Islands, she also personifies their country, as the Beatles and Rolling Stones do for us.

Music is generally the main British asset. And not any specific, but musical taste as such. There has never been such a convincing victory of rock and roll over naked pop at this level. "Arctic Monkeys" at the opening of the Olympics - it's incredibly cool. It is normal for Britain to invite such a noisy team to the opening. It's considered awesome. Imagine that at the opening of the Minsk World Ice Hockey Championship, "lyapisov" or "Neuro Doubel" will be called to sing. Yeah, how. There will still be the same yawning cranberries, slanted either under the glamor, or under the national color, and it is not yet known which is worse.

(The British in general turn out to be completely frivolous guys. They respect their queen immensely, but they can allow the whole world to show a video in which Her Majesty jumps out of a helicopter with a parachute. Can you imagine anything like this with us?)

Well, what ending is better than the ending with Paul McCartney. Now, it is certainly complete clarity: the games will go as they should. Jude will not let you down.
